Example 1 A care team.

Example 2 A group practice or a self-employed general practitioner.

Example 3 A hospital, a hospital department, or a hospital care unit.

Example 4 A social department or a municipality providing care (including social care).

Example 5 A non-governmental organization or a voluntary association providing care (including social care).

Note 1 Groupings or subdivisions of an organization, such as departments or sub-departments, may also be considered as organizations when there is a need to identify them. The internal structure of an organization is described by its organizational pattern. Therefore, an organization may be considered as a standalone organization or as a superstructure containing departments and sub-departments, for instance, other lower-level organizations. A care organization represents the role any such organization plays when it is involved in the direct provision of care activities.
