  time interval related to the health or care of a subject of care

Plural health approaches

Example 1 During an episode of care, social activities can include family therapy, medical treatment of subject of care abusing their partner, and supporting talk therapy for the partner. A health approach can be restricted to talk therapy for the partner (with the goal to make them calmer).

Example 2 During an episode of care a subject of care with diabetes mellitus is monitored and prescribed medication, self-control of habits of living. A health approach can mean that the blood glucose value shall be kept between 5 mmol/l and 8 mmol/l.

Note 1 While the episode of care focuses on the health issue addressed by the activities, the health approach focuses on the desired outcome of these activities.
